Ozone (O3) is a naturally occurring gas created in the atmosphere when the sun's rays or electrical energy split oxygen molecules into single atoms. These atoms combine with nearby oxygen to form a three-oxygen molecule, called ozone.
Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive molecule which quickly reacts to “offensive” particles it comes in contact with in the air and on surfaces. The extra oxygen atom in the ozone attaches itself to other molecules, chemically changing their structure to create non-offensive molecules – eliminating the smell. When considering bacteria and spores the same process applies, with ozone attacking the outer shell of the cell causing it to break down. When the outer shell degrades, the cell itself breaks apart and dies.
Ozone is safe to use when under control as is the case with the AirPur machines. As a natural occurring substance, it will do no harm to you or damage to the environment if the concentration is low. In fact over the last hundred years it has been used in food preservation and water treatments.
Air Fresheners will not remove odours, they will only mask them and damage the environment. Opening the windows is a not a guaranteed or efficient way to remove odours either, especially when time and the weather factors are taken into consideration. Our AirPur machines are capable of making rooms odour free in as little as 15 minutes. They also help reduce the effects of hay fever symptoms and stop the spread of airborne viruses and bacteria.
What sets us apart is that our AirPur machines turn any unused ozone back into oxygen. This function allows rooms to be available for reoccupation immediately as during the treatment cycle unused ozone is converted back into oxygen.
Yes, all our AirPur machines come with a 12 month warranty. All our machines are built to the highest quality using only quality materials and components so we are confident you’ll be able to use your machine for years to come.
